BitTorrent Clients for Mobile Devices
This may sound surprising for some of you but actually there are some BitTorrent clients for mobile devices. In general due to the limited storage capacity, slow CPU, low RAM memory and reduced battery life mobile devices are not the best choice to download your torrents yet, but in the future they might be. Also Internet speed is a problem in this matter, but when Wi-fi will be available widely for free and mobile networks will adopt 4G (at least 100Â Mbit/s ) this issue should be solved.
Even so, there are some native BitTorrent clients for Windows Mobile and for Symbian OS that perform pretty well and a generic one available on devices that support Java. Also if your phone is not that great you can for now just manage your BitTorrent client from your home using a remote web interface or a standalone client. So in the following we will present you the real BitTorrent clients for Windows Mobile, Symbian OS and Java-based generic one and then we will show you some ways in which you can remotely manage your torrents using Android, iPhone or any other mobile phone that has a web browser or supports Java.

BitTorrent Client for Symbian OS
SymTorrent
SymTorrent is the first and currently only BitTorrent client for Symbian OS. It supports downloading multiple torrents at the same time, is capable of both downloading and uploading and can save the status of your unfinished torrents, so you can resume the downloads after restarting the application. You can also check the status of each file inside a torrent along with several other statistics and properties during download. Torrents can be started from the browser, and selecting the files that are downloaded from multi file torrents is also supported.
Currently, SymTorrent is available for mobile devices based on the S60 Platform 3rd and 5th edition. Supported phone models include all recently released Symbian OS based phones, such as the Nokia Nseries/Eseries devices, phones with touch UI and many older models as well.
You can get it here from rapidshare version 1.41 and of course from the official site. SymTorrent is free and open source software, but sure you can donate some money if you enjoy it and want it further developed.

BitTorrent Client for Java-based devices
MobTorrent
MobTorrent is the first BitTorrent client for Java ME. It requires CLDC 1.1, MIDP 2.0 and JSR 75 for file handling. The target platform is Nokia S40 such as Nokia 6500 classic, however it should support all Java ME capable phones with the proper JSRs.
MobTorrent supports S60 platform as well, however for that we recommend SymTorrent.
You can download it here form the official web site or using rapidshare.
